Rhythm Guitar no comments
Most people think that playing lead guitar, all that shredding and alternate picking is way cooler than playing rhythm guitar, but I beg to differ. Knowing how to play rhythm guitar is as cool as playing lead guitar. There are guitarists that I know that are really good in shredding and all that stuff, but when ask to play rhythm, they simply suck. Being a good guitar player doesn’t mean playing outrageously good lead guitar, it also means versatility. It would be millions of times cooler if you could play rhythm and also play lead guitar. Rhythm guitar playing is also an art and it takes a lot of hard work and dedication to master it. However, mastering it has lots of benefits.
Most of you might not know, but there are lots of great rhythm guitar players. Some of them are Eric Clapton, John Lennon and Nancy Wilson. John Lennon was in fact considered as a genius in rhythm guitar. Also, you might not know it but, Eric Clapton made a lot of rhythm guitar sessions for many famous rock and pop artists.
Rhythm is all about the accent. Master this and you would have another weapon on your arsenal. All of these are essential for you to be an efficient guitar player. But before anything else, learn first the basics, please.
